Diane is a Game Developer who graduated with honours from Sheridan College. She also has a BA in English from St. Thomas University and a certificate for Creative Problem-Solving. Born in Belleville, she has lived in Oakville since 2016.
Diane has been active with the NDP since 2019 and is an active member of several equity committees, including Disability Justice, Indigenous and 2SLGBTQIA+ Rights. As a multiply marginalized person, she works towards Intersectionality and understanding how even small issues are compounded when shortcut solutions are used to increase profits.
Diane is passionate about giving back to the community and will fight to:
- create affordable housing so all Ontarians can afford to live in the neighbourhoods they love
- bring in real rent control and protections for renters to keep Ontarians in their homes
- improve Ontario’s schools by clearing the repair back log, hiring more staff and creating a universal school food program
- lower the cost of living to alleviate overtaxed food banks and reduce homelessness
- improve and expand public transit
Families, workers, and students can and should have a quality and affordable life here. With the Ontario NDP, Diane will make sure that your voice is heard on the actual issues in Oakville, from Oakville, for Oakville.
